Mission Statement

To serve the homeschool community by providing affordable quality Christian education (K-12) in specific areas of need

“Connections” seeks to offer support services

1) at a central location

2) on a regular schedule throughout the school term

3) in the areas of greatest need

4) in the least intrusive manner upon any individual curriculum

5) at a cost efficient price

Our purpose is to support the parents, who are the primary teachers of their children. Even though our values and beliefs are often communicated in how we teach, Connections does not want to undermine the teaching that students receive at home. When hiring teachers, we look for individuals with a Biblical worldview who strive to honor God, respect others, and recognize the parents’ role as the primary teachers in their children’s lives.

History

Prior to Connections’ first year (2001-2002), an informal survey was circulated among the homeschool community to determine needs. In addition, meetings with individuals, families, and various groups, such as the Flathead Home Educators Association, provided more information. Through the vision and financial support of the Foundation for Christian Education, a local non-profit organization supporting quality Christian education, Connections in Education became a reality.

After the 2008-2009 school year, the Foundation for Christian Education was no longer able to support the Connections program, so Doug and Lyn Campbell began offering the program on their own in another location. Grace Church of Kalispell graciously offered us the basement of their church. Connections is still growing and adapting to the changing needs of the homeschool community. Please contact us if you have a need.
